Recipes for a Fun New Year's Eve!
Some of my best memories of the Holidays are surrounded by my family in the kitchen. Here, we have collected some of the most nostalgic recipes to us and some of our food blogger friends. We hope this list inspires you to make memories of your own this Holiday season.
The Holidays are an easy time to incorporate more extravagant or traditional recipes and this collection has some of the best. We think this TURKEY/HAM GLAZE is a great option too!
Tips for A Fun New Year's Eve Party
Have a cute food theme (as we discuss below) and have people bring an appetizer that goes along with the theme. Having your guests participate will take some load off of you but will be a chance for people to show off their favorite dishes.
The sky is the limit here! You may want to do a Charcuterie party where everyone brings a different type of board. You could also do a fondue party and have people bring meat or vegetables to cook in boiling broth or even different melted cheeses and things to go with it. You could give it a healthy theme to ring in the new year in a healthy way. Get creative and people will love to participate!
Keeping it simple at party time is a huge stress reliever. Appetizers and small bites are easy for most people to do and enjoy. They are also much less stressful than a sit down dinner and allow for more social time at the party.
Making sure you have enough is one thing but this is important for variety as well. Also, knowing this will help you determine if you are providing the drinks or if you wanted to make it BYOB. Also, if you have kids in attendance make sure you provide them with a fun drink alternative and foods that kids of any age will enjoy.
If a NYE party is something you are having, purchase simple decorations and table items in the dollar store. This time of year you can find plenty of things silver or gold for Christmas and those colors work well for a NYE party too. It doesn't have to be fancy to be festive!
Sometimes, deciding what to serve to drink can be overwhelming and costly. If you are providing alcohol, keep it simple and have a few mixers on hand. If you wanted to have something that everyone would love, do a water station and have fruit and some vegetables nearby to make a fun and fancy water. This is perfect for any person in attendance!
If you were not sure what to serve or how many choices to have, skip the overwhelm and have one to two signature drinks. Those can be options that are good for alcoholic or non alcoholic options. And if you have a theme, these signature drinks can go along with that theme!
Make it the Most Wonderful Time
Parties do not have to be stressful. They are meant to be a relaxing time even for the host or hostess. We hope having these recipes at hand help to make a fun and exciting time with family and friends ringing in the new year!
