How to make it

Ingredients

  • 8 oz wheel of brie cheese
  • 2 T Avocado oil
  • 1 T Honey
  • 1 Cup Chopped Pecans
  • 4 oz Fresh Blackberries
  • 1 T Fresh Rosemary
  • Kosher Salt
  • Pepper

Baked  blackberry brie Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 

Prep: Scoring the Brie

Scoring the brie makes for a hassle-free yet perfect bake.

Remove the wheel of brie from the package.  Cut the top of the brie wheel with a sharp knife taking care not to cut all of the way through. Cut over the initial cuts to cross hatch the top of the brie cheese.

Only cut 2/3 of the way thru and leave the bottom in tact.

Cooking the Baked Brie

Follow these simple steps to achieve a lightly browned brie in your cast iron skillet.

Brush the scored side of the brie with 1/2 tablespoon of honey and place face down in your cast iron skillet.

Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until top is browned. Remove and set aside.

Creating the Blackberry and Pecan Mix

Create the perfect blend of blackberries, pecans, and a touch of honey for a burst of flavors.

In the same skillet, add oil, remainder of honey, pecans, blackberries, salt, pepper and rosemary. Mix well to coat.

  • 1 tbsp honey divided
  • 1 cup pecans chopped
  • 4 oz fresh blackberries
