Equipment

🔧 I love to share recipes that are no special equipment required but here are a few things that would definitely make this recipe easier!

Storage

These sheet pan caramel apples will keep in an airtight container for about two days. Apples do start to weep so they are best fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator.

This is a fresh treat and really doesn’t need to be frozen.

🗹 RECIPE FAQ’S

Should I put these caramel apples in the refrigerator?

Yes, to get them to set quicker or to keep them cool until serving, the refrigerator is your best bet.

Do I have to use parchment paper or can I use wax paper?

Caramel is sticky. For some scientific reason, it will not stick as bad to parchment so I always recommend parchment over anything else.

How do I keep the caramel from sliding off of my apples?

The quick lemon juice bath we gave them will help remove any waxy residue from the apples which will help the caramel adhere to them. Also, drying them well helps prevent sliding caramel too.

Using this for our October garden club meeting, so easy to make gluten free and I plan on leaving some apples naked with caramel to dip for those that don’t want to get gooey
