Ingredients
A rib sticking list of pantry staples cook up a fine comfort classic. Nothing fancy or over done here.

See recipe card for full ingredient list and quantities.
Instructions
We start on the sauté function of our Instant Pot and brown those meatballs to perfection.

In a boiler, add in the sugar substitute.

Dijon and a brown mustard. Spicy or whole grain works great!

Place the butter in the boiler.

Add the garlic.

Rosemary, here we are using dried and chopped.

The zest and juice of about half a lemon. About a teaspoon of each.

Mix in water.

Season with black pepper.

And salt.

Place in the whole cloves. Bring mixture to a gently boil and allow to boil until it thickens and sugar substitute dissolves.

Remove from the heat and take out the whole cloves.

Add in the vanilla and mix well.

Score the narrow end of the ham and cross hatch, only cutting about 1/4 of and inch.

Glaze the ham and add in the basket or tray of the air fryer. Air fry for 30 to 45 minutes or until it reaches internal temp of 140°, basting with glaze about every 10-15 minutes.

Allow the ham to rest, covered for 10-15 minutes, slice, serve and enjoy!

Why Brooke loves this recipe!
Recipes are like antiques. They are meant to be handed down from one generation to another. Each one holding a special memory or nostalgic memory. Here is why we love this one!

Variations and Substitutions
This recipe is perfect just as is but here are a few suggestions to make it new and all your own.
Want to save this recipe?
- SUGAR– if you are not watching your sugar, brown or regular white sugars will work. If you wanted a more brown sugar taste, you can also find brown sugar substitute.
- MUSTARD– yellow mustard for a smokier taste and smooth texture. Horseradish mustard for a slightly spicier glaze.
- LEMON – for a sweeter glaze, use oranges in place of the lemons. Yum!
- HAM– use a small smoked turkey or a whole small chicken. You can even find a low sodium version of ham.

🗹 RECIPE FAQ’S
You sure can. Thaw thoroughly first in the refrigerator. This could take some time so give yourself a couple of days to thaw.
You can cut the ham to fit, just like we did. We trimmed a bit off of the top and made sure it fit in the air fryer without over burning the whole ham.
Yes! I love my oven and if you wanted to you could do it in a 375° oven for about 30-45 minutes covered with foil. Remove the foil and cook another 15-20 minutes uncovered. Glazing the same way.
