Easy Crock Pot Pulled Pork Sandwiches

In honor of National Pork Month, today we are taking a beautiful pork tenderloin and our trusty crock pot to help you easily make some absolutely fantastic CROCK POT PULLED PORK SANDWICHES. The crock pot never disappoints, and makes this recipe so simple and worth your time every time! Once done, you can dress up some buns with perfect pulled pork for your friends and family!

Two pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw on a blue and white plate. One sandwich has a bite taken out. A slow cooker with shredded pulled pork is visible in the background.

We make this recipe using a standard 2 pound pork tenderloin, but you can use one that is anywhere from 1 1/2 to 3 pounds, if you need to. Our simple BBQ sauce can be mixed up in a flash and poured into the crock pot over the pork before your low-temp 4-hour cook time. Once done, test it to make sure it’s done in the middle, and that it easily pulls apart with a couple of forks.

Just like in our INSTANT POT PULLED PORK recipe, be sure that you cut your tenderloin up in to smaller chunks before you place it into your crock pot. This way, it will cook a little faster and get more tender for that “fall apart” stage!

Ingredients

A pork tenderloin and a crock pot. That’s it! Just mix up the ingredients for your BBQ sauce and add ’em in before cooking!

🗹 RECIPE FAQ’S

What pairs well with pulled pork?

You name it! We’d recommend the good ol’ standards of mac and cheese, coleslaw or baked beans!

What’s the best internal temperature for cooking the pork?

The ideal internal temperature for tender, “falling apart” pork is 205 degrees. If it pulls apart with two forks after checking for the correct temp, then you are there!

How do I reheat this?

To make sure that the pork doesn’t get dried out, you should reheat it in the oven or the crock pot, rather than the microwave. Saving the juices when you store or freeze makes reheating easier and keeps things moist.
