Easy Sheet Pan Caramel Apple Slices
Our easy sheet pan caramel apple slices are all you expect from your favorite caramel apples plus so much more! Add your choice of toppings to the traditional caramel apple but in smaller bites which are easier to make with a ton of fun and flavor.

Caramel apples always remind me of my childhood. My sweet Momma would always make them for us every Fall. These sheet pan caramel apple slices take me right back to those days but are really so much easier!
Top these beauties with your favorite candy or nuts and you can have a little something for everyone who you share them with. That is, IF you share them!
Ingredients
We take the long way around and use the individually wrapped caramels but that is part of the nostalgia of this recipe! We give you a few other tips on the caramel part in the list of ingredients. But trust me, this way is so worth it!

See recipe card for quantities.
Instructions
The hardest part is in the prep! We core and slice our apples, get our toppings ready and melt the caramel in the microwave. Easy peasy!

We core and slice 3 to 5 apples and place them in a large bowl.

Add in just enough water to cover the apples.

And a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice. Mix and set aside for a few minutes.

Chop and prepare your toppings of choice.

Drain apples from lemon water.

Place on a few paper towels.

Press with towels to dry completely.

Place slices in a single layer on a large baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper.

Open all those packs of caramel goodness and place them in a microwave save bowl.

Measure out 1/4 cup of half and half or heavy cream.

Pour over caramels. Melt in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between each.

Once caramel is smooth, pour over prepared apples and allow to sit for one minute to slightly set.

Top in sections with your favorite toppings and lightly press to make sure they adhere to caramel.

Allow to set at room temp until caramel has cooled and feels solid. Serve and enjoy!

Storage
These sheet pan caramel apples will keep in an airtight container for about two days. Apples do start to weep so they are best fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator.
This is a fresh treat and really doesn’t need to be frozen.

🗹 RECIPE FAQ’S
Yes, to get them to set quicker or to keep them cool until serving, the refrigerator is your best bet.
Caramel is sticky. For some scientific reason, it will not stick as bad to parchment so I always recommend parchment over anything else.
The quick lemon juice bath we gave them will help remove any waxy residue from the apples which will help the caramel adhere to them. Also, drying them well helps prevent sliding caramel too.

Using this for our October garden club meeting, so easy to make gluten free and I plan on leaving some apples naked with caramel to dip for those that don’t want to get gooey
What a wonderful idea! Thanks so much!
