How to Make It
We use simple substitutions to make this pie where you won’t miss a thing! Looking for labels that say “dairy free” or ” low fat” or “zero sugar” is an easy thing to do these days and we utilize that here. Fat free is not a good option as it is usually carb filled, so low fats are better!

Pour into cooled pie crust. Bake at 350 20-25 minutes. Cool for 45-60 minutes. Top with Cool whip. Garnish with Lime slices or zest and serve.
Tips and Tricks
The acidity of the lime juice does all of the work here. You only need to get the pie semi set and while it cools for 45 to 60 minutes, it continues to cook and set up.
Yes, for a lemon pie, the method is the same. Just substitute lemon juice and zest and get the same result.
That is simple, use whole eggs, full fat sweetened condensed milk and regular cool whip for the pie. The crust can be done with regular sugar and graham crackers. You will not be able to tell the difference!
