How to make Italian Nachos in the oven.
Packed with cheese, peppers, onions, black olives, chicken and pepperoni, you won’t miss traditional nachos after having these.
The secret to these is Alfredo sauce. Yep, jarred Alfredo does the trick to giving these nachos a sweet, smoky Italian flavor.

- 4 cups nacho chips
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1/4 cup chopped green onion
- 1/4 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers
- 1 cup chopped pepperoni sausage
1/2 cup Alfredo sauce
- parsley for garnish
~ Method ~
- Preheat broiler to medium high heat. On a sheet pan, layer nacho chips in a single layer. Drizzle Alfredo sauce over all chips. Layer Chicken, pepperoni, cheese, tomatoes, olives, peppers and top with more pepperoni if desired.
- Place under broiler for 5 minutes until cheese is melted and slightly browned. Garnish with parsley. Serve and enjoy!
Tips and Tricks
Can I cook them some other way than under the broiler?
Yes, a good and hot oven at 400 to 425 will do the same trick. Just watch it until the cheese is melted and the nachos are heated through.
Can I use Beef in place of the Chicken?
Yes, any lean protein will work very well here. You can also add more italian meats like salami to the mix. Get creative!

Can I use tomato sauce instead of alfredo?
You can. Tomato based sauces do tend to have more water so watch for sogginess and maybe cut the amount of that you use by half.
How to Make ahead and store
Prep all of your ingredients ahead of time and store in airtight containers. Assemble when you are ready to cook. Cooking the chicken ahead also helps. This will keep once cooled in an airtight container for up to a week in the refrigerator.
How to Serve Italian Nachos
You can serve these right on the sheet pan or put them on a pretty platter. Either way, they will be a fast favorite appetizer for any game day or gathering with friends.
Tailgate ready!
These Italian Nachos will be a big hit! For all of your friends who are Italian food fans like me, they will be a welcome change to the ordinary nacho.
