Homemade Brownies are easier than you think! Made with ingredients that are common in your pantry and refrigerator, you will never have to buy box brownies ever again! Easy and Delicious, they are a real crowd pleaser.

Easy Homemade Brownie Dessert
When you have a craving for a quick dessert, not much beats brownies. Easy and normally not requiring very many ingredients, they are just about perfect. One common misconception about brownies is that making them homemade is complicated or requires a lot of work.
I am here to let you in on a little secret. This just simply is not true. Box brownies are OK but why bother when you probably have all you need in your pantry and fridge. You can whip up a great Brownie just as easy without the box mix. Not to mention, Brownies are a super fun way to get your kids in the kitchen and show them how great the rewards are by cooking from scratch. How to make Homemade Brownies
Most box brownies only require oil and eggs to be added to the mix. What you don't know is what else might be lurking in that mix. Most brownie mixes have about 30 grams of sugars and 80 grams of sodium per serving. One serving is about 1/20th of the box mix. That is a little much, even for my sugar and fat loving self.
Just like most other homemade recipes, with this, you get to control how much goes in and what your people are consuming. This is only one of the many reasons I love making things from scratch. It allows me to be in control of our diet. For an even healthier brownie, try out this recipe for PROTEIN BROWNIES.

Helpful tips for making Homemade Brownies
- Dry ingredients and baking. I do own a sifter and highly recommend them. Truthfully though, if you don't or don't have time to sift in batches, add all of your dry ingredients into a large bowl and use a whisk to mix them. It works just as well and really is less messy.
- Anytime you work with melted butter AND raw eggs, you have the potential to cook your eggs if your melted butter is too hot. It is always a good idea to melt your butter and allow it to cool on the counter before mixing with eggs. I always do the old baby bottle test with my melted butter before adding it to a mixture. I take a small amount out and drip it on my wrist. It should not be hot, nor should it be cold. You almost should not feel anything at all before adding it to your mixture.
- Parchment paper. I preach this one all of the time when it comes to brownies. However, let's be real. You will see in the pics above that I didn't use it. It is a great time and mess saver though. Instead of greasing your pan, line it with ample amount of parchment. Pour in your brownie mix and bake. When cooled, you just have to grab the parchment, set it on the counter and cut the brownies. You are only left with a clean pan if all the stars line up!
