How to make Crock Pot Lava Cake

Like many of our other crock pot recipes this one is a dump and go easy recipe too. It does take a little mixing prep work but with the right tools, it can be done in a snap. If you haven’t noticed, we give you some great tips for tools to use at the bottom of each post so be sure and check those out!

~ Ingredients ~

  • Devils Food Cake mix
  • 1 & 2/3 cups water
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 2 cups cold milk, whole is best
  • 3.9 oz package chocolate pudding
  • 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

~ Method ~

  1. Lightly grease the inner liner of crock pot with cooking spray. In a large bowl, mix cake mix , water, eggs and oil. Mix well on a medium setting with a mixer for 2 minutes. Pour in crock pot and spread evenly.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix milk and chocolate pudding mix for minutes. Spoon in over cake batter. Do not mix.
  3. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours. Cake will pull away from sides of crock pot slightly. Top will be semi firm to the touch. Scoop and serve with whipped cream or ice cream. Enjoy!
