Best Ever Grape Salad
Why is this Grape Salad THE Best Ever?
Grape salad is not a name that sounds all that fancy. Almost boring. If you have ever eaten Grape Salad, you know these things are not true. Grape Salad is a symphony of sweet and tangy, of textures of creamy and crunchy and livened up with a hint of lemony flair.
The addition of creamy bliss known only as cream cheese and a slight sweetness of brown sugar give this Grape Salad my rating of Best Ever! If you don’t believe me, make some up and give it a try. You will not be disappointed! Adding whipped cream will also put it over the top as it is so good and simple making it homemade!
Sometimes you need something only kind of sweet.
Desserts are always welcome at any gathering but sometimes you don’t want the normal heavy sweetness of cake, pie or brownies. Often, after a heavy meal, I want something just light and sweet. This is the perfect dessert for that. I think that is why salads like these are so popular in the South. First of all, it’s hot here most all year and the light and cool of a sweet salad are a welcome relief to the pallet. Also, most all of our meals are heavy and leave you fully satisfied. This dessert is just a slightly sweet finish you may be looking for when you don’t really have room for dessert.
