Where Have We Been?
Rest & Relaxation
This summer has been one for the books. Starting a blog, helping redo a Lake House with friends, Drivers Licenses, new jobs, you name it, The Buttered Home Fam has had it going on. With all we were doing, we forgot to “do” vacation. Now, getting to be at the Lake every weekend with great friends has been pretty spectacular but we always try to take the girls and just get away, just the 4 of us.
Last summer, we embarked on a 9 day trek across the U.S. bound for Las Vegas. Tannar, who was in Cosmetology school at the time, had won a prestigious award from the National Beauty Association for new and upcoming talent called The Beacon Award. She was one of 100 selected to attend a conference and education track while getting to attend the Beauty Associations NAHA awards. We were elated! We took to the road and explored Louisiana,Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and California. It was a vacation of a lifetime. It was also work!

How Can You Ever Beat That?
That vacation was sure one we will all never forget. You would think that all others would pale in comparison. Not true, anywhere I get to be with my precious family, is the best ever. So, we planned a tiny vacation this year and went a whole 2 1/2 hours away to the beach. Four days of slow moving beach time. That is what we did. The most strenuous thing was to set up our tent each morning and drive to get donuts. It was heaven. You see, wherever my lovely babies(Big D included) are, it is bliss for me. I didn’t even COOK! It was fabulous.
So now we are home. Don’t be surprised if you see a few more Seafood recipes coming up. And speaking of that, so sorry that there weren’t any recipes this week. Sometimes, you just need a break, even from the kitchen. That break can sometimes give a new little spark and inspiration. So, go make a memory or two with your favorite people. It could be just what the Dr. ordered. It also makes you appreciate Home. Now, I must get back to doing the laundry here at The Buttered Home, it never seems to end!
Enjoy, LIFE!
You are truly blessed to have a good man. Unfortunately, I’ve been divorced for over 20 + years. I’m still praying that God will send me a Godly man.
