Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1.5 cup sugar

    1 cup for cobbler, 1/2 cup for top


  • 1 cup self rising flour
  • 1 pinch

    salt


  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups peaches

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 13 casserole dish with non stick spray.

  • In a large bowl, mix flour, salt and 1 cup of the sugar well. Add Milk and melted butter.. Mix well just until most of the lumps are out. It may not be a necessarily smooth batter due to equal parts of flour, sugar and milk

    1.5 cup sugar, 1 cup self rising flour, 1 pinch

  • Pour batter in prepared dish. Spoon in peaches evenly without stirring. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup of sugar on top.

    2 cups peaches, 1.5 cup sugar
  • Bake for 1 hour until bubbly and top is golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
