Medjool Date Candy Bars

Ingredients

  • 12 medjool dates pitted
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1.25 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoon butter
  • flaky sea salt

Instructions

  • Prepare a sheet pan with parchment paper. Remove the pit from the dates and split in two. Set aside on prepared sheet pan.

  • Add 1 teaspoon of butter to chocolate chips in a microwave safe container. Melt in 30 second bursts, stirring after each until melted. Add 1 teaspoon more of butter and stir in until shiny and melted.
    1.25 cups semi sweet chocolate chips, 2 teaspoon butter
  • Stuff each date with a small amount of peanut butter and then cover with chocolate either by dipping or drizzling. Arrange on prepared sheet pan and sprinkle with a bit of sea salt for garnish. Freeze for 30 minutes.
