Crock Pot Cowboy Beans

Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 can red kidney beans rinsed and drained
  • 1/3 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can black beans rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon each of red pepper flakes black pepper and cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Cook Bacon and drain and cool. Crumble or chop. Reserve 2 tablespoons of bacon grease. In reserved bacon grease, brown ground beef and onions. Drain.

  • In a small bowl, mix Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, ACV, ketchup, salt and peppers. Set aside.
    1/3 cup worcestershire sauce, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/4 teaspoon each of red pepper flakes, 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • In a large 6 quart or larger Crock pot, add ground beef, bacon, beans and liquid mixture. Stir well.
    1 can red kidney beans, 1 can black beans
  • Cover Crock Pot and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours. Top with Sour cream, cheese or any of your favorite toppings and enjoy!
