BBQ Baked Beans with Smoked Sausage

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bacon cooked and crumbled

  • 1 small red onion chopped

  • 2 tablespoons

    minced garlic


  • 1 can pork and beans 28 ounce can
  • 1/2 pound smoked conecuh sausage sliced

  • 1/3 cup

    ketchup


  • 1/3 cup brown sugar plus a pinch

  • 1/4 cup

    maple syrup


  • 2 tablespoons

    apple cider vinegar


  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • 
Cook bacon and set aside to crumble when cools. Cook onions until soft in bacon grease. Add sausage and garlic and cook just until browned
    2 slices bacon, 1 small red onion, 2 tablespoons

    1/2 pound smoked conecuh sausage
  • In a large casserole dish, add beans and cooked onions, garlic and sausage. Add in crumbled bacon, ketchup, brown sugar, maple syrup, ACV and Mustard. Mix well.

    1 can pork and beans, 1/3 cup

    1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup

    maple syrup

    2 tablespoons

    apple cider vinegar


    ,
    2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • Top with just a pinch of brown sugar.

    1/3 cup brown sugar
  • Bake for 45 to 60 minutes until bubbly and hot.
