BBQ Baked Beans with Smoked Sausage

BBQ Baked Beans with Smoked Sausage are the perfect BBQ side dish. Smoky sausage combined with beans and sweet spices make this a delight.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of Bacon cooked and crumbled

  • 1 small red onion chopped

  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic

  • 1 large can of Pork and Beans 28 oz

  • ½ pound of Smoked Conecuh Sausage sliced

  • cup Ketchup

  • cup Brown Sugar plus a pinch

  • ¼ cup Maple Syrup

  • 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 2 tablespoon prepared Mustard

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • 
Cook bacon and set aside to crumble when cools. Cook onions until soft in bacon grease. Add sausage and garlic and cook just until browned
  • In a large casserole dish, add beans and cooked onions, garlic and sausage. Add in crumbled bacon, ketchup, brown sugar, maple syrup, ACV and Mustard. Mix well.

  • Top with just a pinch of brown sugar.

  • Bake for 45 to 60 minutes until bubbly and hot.
