Crock Pot Cowboy Beans

Crock Pot Cowboy beans are the perfect way to get a hearty one pot meal. Bacon, ground beef and beans that all cook while you get on with your life. It's a win/win!

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • 1 can Red Kidney beans rinsed and drained
  • cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can Black beans rinsed and drained
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup Apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon each of Red Pepper flakes black pepper and cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Cook Bacon and drain and cool. Crumble or chop. Reserve 2 tablespoons of bacon grease. In reserved bacon grease, brown ground beef and onions. Drain.
  • In a small bowl, mix Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, ACV, ketchup, salt and peppers. Set aside.
  • In a large 6 quart or larger Crock pot, add ground beef, bacon, beans and liquid mixture. Stir well.
  • Cover Crock Pot and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours. Top with Sour cream, cheese or any of your favorite toppings and enjoy!
