Mushroom Swiss Chicken Casserole

Ingredients

  • 3-4 cups chicken cooked and shredded
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 8 ounces white mushrooms cleaned and sautéed in 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 14 ounces cream of chicken soup can
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup swiss cheese shredded

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, mix sour cream, cream of chicken soup, water, paprika, onion powder, salt and pepper. Add in shredded chicken and sautéed mushrooms. Mix well. Fold in cheese.

  • Pour in a slightly greased 8 x 11 or smaller casserole dish. Cover and bake 30 minutes.
  • Uncover and bake another 10 minutes until the top is browned and bubbly. Will thicken as it cools. Enjoy!
