How to make Lace Cornbread
1/2 cup Cornmeal Mix
1/4 teaspoon salt, optional
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons Bacon Grease
2 Tablespoons butter
Mix Dry Ingredients
Mix Cornmeal Mix, a little salt if you would like and set aside
Add Water and mix well. Mixture will be a little runny. May need to add more water 1 tsp at a time
Prep to Fry
Heat Bacon grease and butter in heavy skillet until melted. Over medium to low heat.
In a small measuring spoon. Pour small amounts of cornbread mixture in a circular motion, keeping thin.
cook 1-3 minutes per side. Turning carefully. Cook 2 or 3 at a time making sure heat is not too high.
Drain, Cool & Serve
Carefully remove to drain on a towel. Serve and Enjoy!!
